The Distillation and Absorption sessions at the recent 2024 AIChE Spring conference drew a large audience. Dr. Izak Nieuwoudt, FRI's Technical Director, delivered a presentation on Energy Saving Separation System Methodologies, while Dr. Tony Cai, FRI's Chief Scientist, discussed The Role and Challenges of Industrial Scale Distillation Research and the Evolution of Distillation Equipment Technology. FRI engaged with numerous representatives from member companies and forged connections with several potential members during the event. FRI's presence was notable across various meetings, venues, and sessions, including the Agile award ceremony and luncheon keynotes, as well as the distillation sessions.

Looking ahead, the Annual Meeting this year is scheduled to take place in San Diego from October 27 to 31. Additionally, the 2025 Spring meeting is set for Dallas from April 6 to 10, 2025.
