AIChE Honor Session for Tony Cai

The AIChE Separations Division recognized Tony Cai for his contributions to in the areas of Distillation and Absorption at the 2017 Annual Meeting.  Dr. Tony Cai holds a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tianjin University and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University. Tony has been with FRI for over 20 years and currently holds the title of Chief Scientist.  During this period, Tony’s contributions to distillation are in numerous areas, including but not limited to operational planning of the FRI experimental test program, data collection and analysis, safety, leading joint-technical collaborations, and correlation development. Tony is an exceptional leader and mentor to FRI engineers, FRI operators, and Oklahoma State University students who work closely with FRI.

Several of Dr. Cai's friends and associates joined the meeting to recognize Tony's accomplishments, followed by a social and dinner hosted  and FRI.  FRI would like to thank Dan Summers (Sulzer Chemtech, USA), AIChE Separations Division Program Chair for coordinating the events, and to all who participated.
