If you are like me, you have hazardous household waste such as sprays, paints, lawn care products, etc. sitting in your garage.   Sometimes it is difficult to find ways to properly dispose of this type of waste.  Thankfully, municipalities organize free collection events.  The City of Stillwater will host a household hazardous waste collection event this Saturday, April 8th, from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.  Items can be taken to the City of Stillwater Convenience Collection Center at 807 S. Perkins Road.  Items that will be accepted are oil-based paints, pesticides, household cleaning products, mixed fuels, fertilizer, and unwanted pharmaceuticals.  I’ve attached their flyer for your convenience.

You can also visit the City’s website for more information about disposing of household hazardous waste and other types of recycling opportunities offered at the Convenience Collection Center.
