DSP-5 project, High Pressure Structured Packing Test – Effect of Surface Area and Crimp inclination angle on the HETP Hump, aims to better understand the HETP hump of structured packing at high pressure. The effect of specific surface area, crimp angle, and high capacity structured packing on the HUMP will be studied. This research will help fractionation specialists and designers to know the boundaries of structured packing efficiency at high pressures, and under what conditions the HETP hump occurs. The test is tentatively scheduled for March 2020.
